Lmao!!!!what I learn doing this does go into the next saws, i'm always trying to improve what i'm doing
I can't keep up with my phone, pm's , this thread, work on the saw, and make vids, and your asking for a vid, well ok. here you go.
Wonder why the PTO bearings crap out so much?right side of cylinder will always be hotter
No, but the theory still stands. The cool air comes from the recoil fan. The air is definitely warmer by the time it gets to the other sideBut in the same combustion chamber? Perhaps? I think we need Julian here!!!

It takes heat to have combustion and make carbon. If these wash patterns are apparent its not as hot in thoso spots. Lean the saw out and u will see the wash disappear and thoso areas have heated up. JMOI agree with Keith, the heat dissipation from one side of the cylinder to the other will not be immediate.
However, the differences will likely remain small.
Looking forward to seeing what this slant yields. Apologize for post regarding slanting down, thought you were talking about changing roof angles in the port.

Woohoo! I won! Lol
That statement should clue alota folks in on oil used and whether it combust well, how well the saws tuned by wash patterns or not, and making power or not? Oh hell, I said OIL!!!the leaner I can run it the better, or more true the pattern will be
I see alot of temp. Differences internally happening instantly that wont be reflected externally with a temp. GunI was thinking it sucked air across the fins as opposed to blowing, but now that you say that, I see.
Still find I hard to believe the piston itself has a temperature spread across its crown.
But I’m still learning
