Are you going to need a bigger carburetor for this? I have an HX1UL somewhere. I think the venturi on it is around 1 9/16".
Lol. That might help. I was surprised at how large the sdc is. I didn’t directly compare, but it has to be nearly the size of an HD 12 from a 372 or maybe a Tilly 296 from a 390. I figure there are some RPMs in it somewhere, just haven’t found all of them yet

Some of the old Homelites used really big carbs too - the DM-50/DM-54 used an SDC carb that has a throttle bore almost the size of a 372XT carb.

Currently having some troubles with the automatic oiler. The manual oiler appears to work after 8 or 10 pumps, but after those cuts without using the manual oiler , the chain was dry

Same chain both stock and ported. But don’t compare it to other saws I’ve done as it’s a semi chisel that was on it. I did sharpen it before I ran the stock saw to make sure it was good to go. Most of my other videos are round ground full chisel

Might advance the ignition timing a bit more. Started at .020 off the key, then went to .030”. Currently at .035”. Snappier and quicker each time, with no signs of going too far.

So far, I’ve thinned the exhaust bridge and widened/squared up the edges, and raised it 2* to 98.
Lowered the intake floor from 60 to 68*.
Left transfers alone at 120*.
Removed the spark screen and drilled (6) 1/4” holes in the baffle
And advanced the timing about 8*
