This 125 came from the same fellow the last one came from. I bought it cuz the muffler guard.
Never seen one on a 125, Only the 10 series saws. It must be a winter kit to direct warm air into
the air box to prevent carb icing. I replaced the points and went through the carb and runs runs
perfect.

That’s a nice haul! How many 123cc Mac’s do you have total!?! And people say you can’t find them any more!

That may be what people say but to me the SP125 is the easiest muscle saw to find.
Look at the production run and the wood harvested during that time. Tells you that
Mcculloch sold thousands of SP125's. They are not rare but they are a very desirable saw.
Wow, so you were really needing the new haul!HHMMM, Well i just went and counted. 12 797's, 14 125's, 5 101 kart saws, 5 797g's, then there are the SP105's
i have 3 and then the 120cc Mac's the MC75 and MC100 i have 3, so 42 total.
I think it was a cold weather kit, now that Lee bring it up! Jj has posted that cover before, and we couldn’t figure it out!I wonder if it was made so if you throw a chain off a long bar it doesn’t rip the muffler off?
That is true! My area is hard core Stihl territory! My dad got old faller 045 for a fifth of jack and could have bought 090’s for $100 when Crown sold out, he kicks himself for not get any 090’sThat may be what people say but to me the SP125 is the easiest muscle saw to find.

That's always been my thought too. Mac made literally millions of the 10-10 style saws and variants, and even though they didn't make as many
125s, they made a lot of them. I think it was in '71 when they celebrated selling 3 million saws, and they sold a lot of saws after 1971.
They sold a lot of kart motors too. About the only 'rare' Macs are the BP-1, BP snowmobile motors, LeSabre, and the prototype kart motors.
Maybe the model 73/77.
Yes! your correct, it was the closest example I found fastThat would certainly give you chip clearance but i would use the bar adjuster of a
890 or 895, I think the one you posted is for the earlier Mac's like the 3-25, 4-30, 73, 77 etc
This saw came from another fellow member, It's a very nice saw and runs great. Unfortunately the fuel
tank must have taken a hit and leaks. So i'm on the lookout for a fuel tank that will hopefully match the
rest of the saw.
