It almost seemed like the acceleration came before the throttle was opened with the 5 degree flywheel. Did you also open the points a bit?

I am running a chip on this on mark, then it’s fully timed by the flywheel

Put it in some wood!
That is the plan soon, need a few parts to be 100%, be patient! Lol I will have a decent size test log, so that’s a bonus! Going to have that greasy 101 saw and the cp going head to head, so that will be fun.working all week and am not getting home tell after dark, so hopefully this weekend is like this last one!! It’s was storming pretty good Saturday

This 105 i picked up this weekend, Yes it is the one that was on the popular auction site that came with
a 50 inch bar with helper handle. The story goes. A fellow bought it new in eastern Maine to do some
milling. I guess he wasn't happy with milling and it then sat for years till the guy i got it from bought
it from him. The saw has seen a little use but it is in really nice shape.

View attachment 319742 View attachment 319726 View attachment 319727 This 125 came from a guy i have been doing saw biz with for years over on the west coast.
It appears to have been a very low hour saw, Has the original chain brake but unfortunately
it appears to have been a fire victim. It didn't burn long but enough to discolor the paint
and melt the original yellow chip screen. It currently doesn't run and has a scored piston.
To me it looks like it was straight gassed.
