McCulloch 200

I’m a new user on here so here it goes

I come across a McCulloch 200 when I went to pick up a dolmar 122s. I can hardly find any information on this saw. What I do know is that I need an oem carb kit, McCulloch bar .404, choke linkage, possibly a fuel line (my misc box has nothing remotely the right size), possibly a set of dogs.

Love to hear y’all’s stories, knowledge, information on this boat anchor

I have a McCulloch 200 that I am rebuilding right now, it is a fun project. One thing to watch for it you are going to use a period style McCulloch bar, is that they are (for these saws) set up for .404 .058 chain which can be a challenge to get. If you are going to use the saw, you might look at getting a .404 .063 bar that will work and that way you can use readily accessible chain. I have two saws with .404 .058 chain and will probably keep them for show. The .058 chain can be had, you just have to be looking for it and ready to jump on it when you find it.

There are several reproduction gasket kits which can be had from members here on the forums that reproduce them:

@heimannm is a member here who has a wealth of knowledge about McCullochs, he also has a OPE museum which has a lot of McCullochs in it, so much so, he is expanding it.

This was going to be my first MaC...I drug my feet and lost out on it...which is Probably better until my garage gets built.

I have attached one of the Information Parts Listings for the 200 that might help out.

Add to your list of parts to get is a sawdust guard (#35 on page 2 of the attached IPL) that fits between the recoil and flywheel housing.

Below is a picture of my oil tank, it had a bunch of pitting, so I cleaned it up, dremmeled any metal rot, filled with bondo and JB Weld, primered and painted. I am waiting to get the entire saw completed and then I will hit it with an automotive clear coat with hardener to help protect it.

The McCulloch 200 is an 80 cc saw, manual oiler only, and were normally equipped with a Tillotson HL carburetor. Tillotson DG5 kits are generally easy to find and should not be too expensive.

The fuel line is a two piece affair, the one in the tank is NLA but you can substitute generic fuel line and a weighted filter in the tank. I have some fuel lines I've put together from 1/8x1/4 Tygon that I "bell" the end to make a better fit over the nipple in the fuel tank. The original 50097 external fuel line was replaced by 67094.



I have most of the other items as well including rings, seals, gaskets, and most parts.

Thank you sir I tried the dukes 2.5mm and echo 3mm fuel line I keep on hand in bulk plus misc everything I tried I couldn’t get over that massive nipple. I added a few more parts to the list if you’d be interested in selling or swapping parts (if I have any thing of interest) I’d rather it go to someone Helping me learn than just a company online.
