Really enjoyed the thread Randy. Looks like a cool saw. +1 on the plastic handle bar.

To be honest, I kinda like my plastic handle saws! I think they may be stronger than the metal ones.

This is cool, I like 60cc range saws.

Hope there's gonna be a video...I know they are a time grab but...

Near enough… that was a bit of an inside jokeIs that what they retail for?

		Madsen’s has a wait list, it’s been awhile though…

I've broken a 291 handle. I'm not sure what abuse it had before hand, but I went to jerk it out of a cut as it started to pinch like I'd do with any saw to hopefully void getting it stuck. I always tell people if it gets stuck, don't force it. Well, that quick tug was too much for it.For the record Mike I do too. I actually count it a feature. Bend but don’t break. Tree work is hard on saws and shtuff happens. I’ve broken metal handles before. I’ve never had a composite Stihl saw handle break on me. I made it pretty clear in my review thread I really like the ms400! It’s a bad mfer…

"Brute force and ignorance can overcome any design features. " , worked with and old Vet who said this all the time . At least you didn't shatter the bar pad between the studs .I've broken a 291 handle. I think people mistook me as the plastic being a weakness as to why I don’t like it. The main reason why I don’t like it is because they get slick as a mfer after a little bar oil or mix gets on your hands (pretty much a guaranteed with using a chainsaw at work). A rubberized grip wouldn’t be all that hard for stihl to adapt to it like they do the metal handles. I think they purposely went without a grip and used plastic to save a few bucks… and perhaps a few grams of weight. A minor annoyance but not anything that would sway me from buying the saw.Near enough… that was a bit of an inside joke

I fully intend to own one of these asap.

		Cool comparison
No carb work on these saws?
