This 400 I got from you runs as good with a 20" bar as an early 462..and kevvy ported both..so..close enough. For a 20" bar a 462 has no advantages over a 400 from what I can tell.
It doesn't have the ass with a 28" bar that these new ported 462s have...we tried it yesterday, but it's still worthy, scott wants to use it to climb with a 25" bar and a wrap handle, but he's half my size so he likes a smaller saw...we'll see how it goes.
I had to remedy the AV on this 400 to keep it from feeling like a threesome with 2 fat chicks in a half ton on a longer bar...but I don't like wobbly saws..that's a personal thing.
If I was gonna pair a bigger saw with a 50cc saw it would still be a 462 instead of a 400...but that doesn't take away from the fact a 400 has a niche.
