Looks like the same clutch used in the shinny 757.....

The piston reminds of some of the older 2 series Huskys and some J'Reds.

Turned out to be 11 degrees.

Just like their smaller brothers, as I had said before, these saws are very well built....

OK, I ended up taking .040 out of the squish band on an 11 degree taper, then I took .053 off the base and did not use a base gasket. So a total drop of about .060".

I was worried about cutting out the top of the transfers, so I added some epoxy before I started grinding.....

I ended up with these numbers.

Ex: 100°

Tr: 120°

In: 80°

Randy, Any chance you could get me some dimensions on the piston.
Need wrist pin diameter, Total hight, and top of pin bore to edge of crown.
Need a piston for another saw thats NLA and since this one has a some
what dome it may work.

That's a neat design. No worries about spitting a broken clutch spring out of the side of the cover.

It's all back together Lee. The sealer is cured....and I'd hate to pull the jug again. It's a 12mm wrist pin though.
