Thanks bud. I did it with the vise-grip locked in the bench vise ,one tooth at a time, John Riley method. Works well. Yeah it's a little tight but doable.Nice. Tough to fit the file in there.
You should get Picco skip and practise...lol
Yesp, sharp enough to shave with. Did the whole loop. More to come on it. Gotta be gentle with piccoYou should get Picco skip and practise...lol
That doesn't look very familiar for a work cut to me. J/k
Looks like you can shave skin of your fingers with that.
Is that a grind or hand?
Don't you damage the cutters when you doctor it up further or did you just do one tooth?
Crazy I thought it was a grinder. The two biggest problems I would have with that for cutting trees. Thanks bud. I did it with the vise-grip locked in the bench vise ,one tooth at a time, John Riley method. Works well. Yeah it's a little tight but doable.

I bet that was interesting trying to hold it in your fingers lol. I can maintain a chain on the saw ,but not doing a conversion from round to square.I forgot what I was going to say last post.
In regards to holding each tooth in grips in a vice.
first tri file I used was holding the cutter in my fingers and It was on round chisel in a hotel. just had to try a few out.
Should see some coast fallers file on the hill. Jam the bar tight between two logs with the power head straight up in the air.
