To me it’s a balancing act based on how you operate a saw and how aggressive the chain is. A really aggressive chain won’t like a 9-11 and you pushing on it. Unless your saws an animal. That's what I was thinking Cole.
Is it better to push or let the chain feed or both?
Balancing act between the 2?
Thanks Cole.I have up to an 11...you can try out a few if you want. I can send them to ya.

Balance of chain, how you run a saw, and the saw itself.
This thread needs more chain close up pics
My hybrid was faster on the upcut with a 9 at Randy’s placeMost big saws cut faster on the way down with a bigger sprocket. A 12 was 25% faster than a 10 on the 394. But they're too easy to stuff in the upcut. I went back to a 9 .
That's what the 7900 runs tooMy hybrid was faster on the upcut with a 9 at Randy’s place

Probably depends on sharpness and raker height as much as cc though. I'm sure we could kill a 394 with a 7 tooth if we wanted, or vise versa and run a 9 on a 346.That's what the 7900 runs too
