I’ve only done 2 or 3 Sizwells. Hard to justify in urban tree work. I could try topping with one, but I always forget. Never done a triple hinge but I see the merit in something like high density Eucalyptus. Seems like it doesn’t tolerate compression at all.

I have a theory that the lighter softer fibers in fir allow the harder stringier fibers to flex/expand/compress/pull. Euc is all homogeneous hard brittle fibers.

Yeah…Every time I get a chance to try to swing a tree I do even if I don’t need to.

I have not heard of 1limbleft, I’ll google it.
But here’s an actual stump shot from a descent sized snag I dropped today. One of the bigger trees I’ve personally fallen.
