The stump is on the right near the tree with the nasty poison ivy on it .

Lolol. I did see your woohoo timber vid. That made me chuckle. Just watched that elm one. Daggum, that about makes me wanna barf. Lol. I guess the only way I’d burn that chit is if I had an OWB and could just chuck rounds in it. Did it smell like pizz?

That looks crazy.
I've pushed so many of these black locust over at my place, kinda know what to expect with then. Usually I push them into another tree and leave them stand much more straight up, main concern was debris falling on me.
You just gotta be careful.

That was the wife in that video, she just can't help saying something lol.
I dropped a cottonwood last yr that a stream came out of, unfortunately I didn't have my camera/ phone for that one. This one was leaking like that for quite a while, I had to get my phone and come back .
I don't like elm because it's a mess to stack, and obviously you gotta run the splitter right to the stop in order to even break the stuff apart. I have some sticks from a good sized one I dropped this spring in front of the barn, I may just noodle it all up, more fun that way and it will stack nice or I can just sell it.

Usually noodle elm. Typically just don’t bother with it but if it’s coming down anyhow. I’ll get it to manageable sized pieces. It burns

That was at a client's home, they don't burn, and a buddy is just getting a stove this yr, so he grabbed it up yesterday. He also got a nice ash that had tipped over(EAB) and was off the ground about a ft, it was covered in a large poison ivy vine. I bucked it all up as I knew he needed wood to burn this yr and I didn't want to drag my winch cable or walk thru the poison ivy, it was about 5' off the ground when I started . There's also a box elder there I bucked up, not sure if he's taking that too.
Here's the box elder stump.

Nice flame in it.

And these are smaller box elders I pushed over in the woods two days ago, drug them out yesterday. I'll limb them and then toss the branches and smaller wood in the bonfire pit( "larger" rounds onto the for sale pile) which is to the right of where they are laying.

Yeah I’ll burn all of that if I have to take it down. Box elder splits easy enough. Or the ones I’ve cut did. Obviously if I’m just strictly out to get firewood I’d pick something different. If they gotta come down they come home

I have a large supply of Black Locust, so I primarily burn that and any other good burning dead standing hardwood. The box elder burns hotter than heck, but only for a short time, unfortunately it molds and rots quickly here in MI unless it's put under cover with good ventilation.
If I had a need for wood, I'd pretty much burn anything I could, even green wood, fortunately I'm long past that stage.

Here's some white pines I dropped a couple weeks ago.
Someone girdled them o_O.
All of them were pulled to the lay, side lean towards the back yard or leaning over the cottage.
@Wolverine these are the ones from the woods hoo video and that series of shorts.

White pine is another wood I'd not bother to properly buck. Just big enough to drag out of sight.

Right now with wood being hard to get at a fair price I suggested they keep it, also pulled a few nice logs to a buddies out of there. There was a lot more firewood, about 75% more by the time I was finished there, and three more larger logs too.

I knocked down another dead bur oak this afternoon, it’s about 34” at the cut. My back cut was not the best, wedges & rope/winch kept it out of the creek; which was its natural fall direction.

The trunk of The Widowmaker. 36” skip on the 288 cuz I still haven’t gotten my 395 back together. I was gutting the hinge from the holding wood (close) side when the 288 sputtered and then the tree went. Hinge looks a little scrawny but Aleppo pine is extremely tough and stringy. Back cut sloped down a little, meh.
Shook the neighborhood hood when she landed.
