Has anyone like this ever stepped forward and corrected their mistake? Seems like in these situations, the screwer never steps forward and makes things right with the screwee and just spends ridiculous amounts if time and energy avoiding the situation rather than just fix it and be done

It is a 440 frame with a 460 jug on it. It takes a tremendous amount of work and ingenuity to do correctly.
These offer the size and rough weight of a 044/440 with the power of a 046/460. This is a laymans description.

I honestly can't recall a single instance where the the situation was resolved by the seller. These things always wind up with the members of this forum pooling our resources into making good on the seller's shortcomings.

Pretty good description Jeffus. But it's not something that is hard to do properly. Now, making it truly worth the effort is an art. There are a few guys here that are masters at this task.....and I'm not one of them.

I just don't get it man. Just suck it up, fix it right, keep your name in tact and everybody involved can move on. Makes life easier

Last i talked to him, he said tree work around his area was pretty slow with Covid, but he was getting some here and there. Couple months back i know he had to sink a chunk of change in a new tranny for his truck and had some hydraulic issues with his skid loader

He tried to call me, I was out feeding. My daughter took a message. I texted him and told him that none of this was between he and I, and talking to me couldn't fix it. I said that he needed to log in here, and own it.

I do believe Definitive Dave and Eric Copsey have both talked with John about this....but Dave has yet to say anything about it to me.

Here's the thing.....I wind up dragged into the middle of this stuff all too often. But...I'm not interested in being involved.

Like I said, John needs to step up and offer an explanation. If he is too strapped financially to fix it, he could just say so. If he feels like he's done all he should, just say that.

The only way forward is to speak up.

And, I did not know JR is ECSaws.

Interesting how someone takes the long route building a reputation just to flush it down the toilet.
I guess the temptation overcomes them.

John and EC are friends but not the same guy, I know them both and have been to both of their houses. I had a falling out with Eric but have reached out to him recently to mend fences as I was as much to blame in how the situation ended up after the saws died as he is.
