Another piss poor deal... damn shame. Mr. Ken so sorry to hear you got f***ed out of your hard earned dollar's! I know the feeling... same as not getting paid for said work already done.

The OP here, your friend Dave, is my OPE interpreter :)

If you have your heart set on an OEM hybrid then by all that is good and right in the saw universe you shall have one.

I might be a great big pia here but do all my own work except machine and some of these so called top saw porters have to be sending out their jugs to others based on horror stories like this. Bit my tongue more than once about this but no more.
Several people, I do believe, do not do their own work but talk like they do. Still not sure about who did what but there is some lying mfers out there imo. Did this guy ever port a chainsaw cylinder, idk but judging by his second offering to you I would be quite suspect of said skills. When the chain of bs breaks down so follows the tool quality imo.

We all do hope you get it worked on or out and PM me if I can in anyway help you out. Plenty of stuff here to build one up.

I offer nothing to the perpetrator or perpetrators of such *s-wordty work but to clean up your sad act, soon. And, the first jug looked like *s-word imo yours may vary. Ported buy a pure amateur one can clearly see in those pics.

Now all that said come at me like usual because I don't post my work or videos. That may or may no change so get over it.

Oh yeah I don’t mess around with saws.
I personally owned 2 or 3 of everything so I got a cfb one in works after the first one blew up.
Also got another prime low hr oem 440 3/4 wrap waiting for oem jug and piston to show up for another hybrid

God I wish you could learn to talk in a straight line. I have no idea what the hell you're babbling about.

Good post Ken, no interpretation necessary.
Good news is there is a CFB hybrid in the works for Ken, and I believe there will be another at some point because he likes things in pairs.

Twin Turbos, Dual exhaust, boobs, etc.

Those meteor jugs would test a man’s patience. They have the toughest plating I’ve ever encountered. The one I did is still running fine, but took literally 3x as long to machine and grind as an oem would. It might explain the shoddy first result, but not the final outcome.

It only took one for me to change my ways and that came on a mis-communication was sent before I knew what it was. Broke the tool post with the boring bar on it. Also ruined a carbide bit cutting through the plating. Good times. Lol
One fella sent me a 660 he bought, didn't even know it had a Meteor cylinder on it until after I told him. It hung the top ring in one of the upper transfers and proceeded to digest it. Ruined what was left of the piston, not even a scratch on the cylinder. Found a real Stihl for that one and all was good.

Me personally I stick with oem.
Buy once cry once

I'll only port an OEM cylinder, just not worth having plating issues and who knows what go on and then who gets blamed, the guy in the mud hut that made it, or the guy that touched it last? As far as how much money is into a ported cylinder it's just not worth anyone's time and or money.

Oh, crap I thought you guys were talking about John C. Reilly!
A man's character is one of the few things that can't be taken away by another. It must be surrendered voluntarily.

I've never understood the willingness of some men to trash their own reputation for money.

The really dumb thing about that is that a good reputation is worth a ton of money.
