I will a 394 but it has a key like a stihl.

Those are easy. I guess if we really wanted to we could broach the flywheel and run a normal key.

Just filing a little of the bump down and pushing it CCW.

Yea that looked like a pain in the add that's why I did keyway slot in the crank probably wasn't the right way to do it

Can't wait!! If I may ask could you run it with and without the filter cover? That frog skin stuff looks interesting and a Dyno run would really show how restrictive a cover is or isn't. It would be greatly appreciated!

I was going to send a 7900. I guess I could send my 46 with Max flow and stock filters. I don't own a stock cover though.

I'd like to see an HD-2 filter dynoed against the other one. Just something about being pleated that I like (more surface area).

And they seem to work well on all my saws, even though I didn't get a chance to clean em before the dyno test.

More surface area doesn't help if they are always plugged full of chips. I don't really care for the HD2.

I sent him a green max flow brand new just oiled, back plate to run coverless, cover with frogskinz in it, and a cross brand filter. If they have an HD 2 and older HD they can run them as well. Supposed to be there Saturday so they can play on Sunday.

Cut all you can with the max flow and cover so we know if sawdust sticks to the openings.

Of I had a saw dyno I'd do a run with no filter at all for a baseline rating. Then I'd run all the fancy filters to determine the closest match. Air filters on saws can certainly rob power, some are pretty good some are hopeless. I'd also want to test how the filters perform with contamination to know how well they deal with it. God we're a funny bunch!

I hope so. I wouldn't be surprised if the cheap cross brand filter doesn't make the most power.
