No air filter will produce the most power, but is not practical cause you can't run your saw that way. After that, the next best will depend on how porous they are and how much surface area they have. I think the max flows will do well cause they have so much surface area.

I would be skeptical of any filter that does well that does not have a lot of surface area. It will generally mean they are more porous.

Saws with sealed air boxes can run pretty good without air filters. I wouldn't mill without one but I have forgotten them to cut a little firewood

Saw looks great Jason. Fast as always.

@MustangMike, we did your saw in the days of fingers and bridges. It will be interesting to see how your saw runs compared to Dans. We also only took about .030 from your band. Other than that, the saws are nearly identical except for the bridges.

Did you ever check your compression Mike?

As you're close to Dan, I'm sure a Mini-GTG isn't impossible.

@paragonbuilder, I think the porting increased the speed by 40.7628362%, not the figure you calculated.

No thanks, I would never let what is in my filters run through my saws. Not even for one cut!

I don't think the HD-2 is the worst filtration. In fact, I think it works pretty well, even if it requires frequent cleaning.

The filters aren't he problem. It's the sealing surfaces and the gap around the nut sometimes.

It almost looks like the filter was not installed properly. My 362 C has a similar set up, and it never looked like that.
