Minimal at best from what I can tell.

Ya'll should know......Mark shared that information with me about the beefed up bar pad area on the 462. He's a wealth of useful tidbits......when he's not wrestling his nuts back into his shorts.

That’s a very recent serial number I think. I bought my saw in mid April and it several thousand earlier than that. Not that it really matters for my use, I don’t have any need for a 36” on the 462, I’ve got other saws that handle it fine.

So.....the youngsters are working on an engine swap on a 2000 Ford Ranger today. Two exhaust manifold bolts broken off in the heads. They asked me to get those bolts out for em.....so, I made em haul the engine to my little shop and sit it on the porch. Just finished getting em out. Gawd it's humid as a mfer today. I'm thinking about laying under a fan the rest of the afternoon.

Lots of info in this pic. Sorta blows my mind, and a lot of my old theories.

Kinda like they went “dual straitification”.

Anyone else here notice that strato saw piston skirts, viewed through the exhaust port, always look kinda dry and with some carbon staining? I haven’t found them to have the nice gray oiled appearance of the non-strato saws.
