You were misquoted.
You was bragging that you could stick your spinny thing in 10 jugs a day even at your age.

I've done the machine work on ten jugs in a day.....maybe even managed to rough in the port work on that many jugs, or do ten mufflers in a day, but no way in hell would I say I could do ten saws in a day.

Any of those operations is turnin out some work in a day.
Takes me an hour diggin steel splinters out of myself after doin just one muffler.

Any chance the jug castings are consistent enough to cast a fixture for them out of jb or something so you could save the time flattening each one?

I'd say they are very consistent. But to be honest, it only takes a few minutes to mill that flat on each jug. Today is testing and packaging day, so I only got to spend a few hours on these saws.

Bubba and his buddy Blake help out big time on test run day. Bubba puts on a bar and chain and fuels em up. Then I tune em. We run each saw about ten minutes, let it cool.....recheck the tune. and run it again for about five more minutes. Then Blake takes it apart, cleans and drains it. On a big group like these 461s, we usually have two or three running at the same time.

Double or triple layer (I like triple) of those disposable blue gloves (Harbor Freight specials) can help a bunch on the slivers problem.
Just keep a box of them close by and some Dollar Store baby powder to help get a new one on when the outer one rips.

Maybe add a pair of those white knit gloves over things if you're really wrestling with the sharp stuff.
Like filing a chain.

What’s your favorite saw to port?

The MS660.

I was about to ask the same thing, lol.

You know where I live....

I'd still consider trying a pair of the blue nitrile gloves under them.
But then while doing a whole bench full of parts, the sweat build up may become a problem.
Trying to fight slipping gloves will kill your hands too.
But I suspect you've found that part out already though!

edit: ahhhh, but a brand new pair of the (blue) dipped grippy gloves, and all the tools wiped down fresh for the start of the day is a pretty good mood enhancer.

Dose the wrap handle make any difference? Such as stiffer av springs or stronger oil pump. Or is that all myth
