Those are a good brand, their winter gloves are awesome. Keeps your hands dryIf you like those, I HIGHLY recommend these. They're much better. https://www.palmflex.com/chilly-grip-a315-acrylic-full-fingered-work-general-purpose-gloves.html
Dose the wrap handle make any difference? Such as stiffer av springs or stronger oil pump. Or is that all myth

This saw is a strong contender to be my next. I’ve been hoping to hear some more input from the more clever folks on here. As I don’t know much about your craft, Just enjoy the outcome. Heck I’m fairly certain it involves sprinkling magic. But I’d like to hear anything you’ve got to mention good or bad.
or if there’s anything you’ve learned now that it’s been on the market for a couple years.
What is the 'newest' version?? I want to know more about..The newest version has a strengthened bar pad area. Its useable with up to a 36" bar according to Stihl.
Aside from that, I'm not aware of any notable changes.
Personally, the MS462 is probably my favorite newer saw.

Call me Bias... or an a-hole... either way I second that. My 462 has become my favorite/go-to for anything saw.The newest version has a strengthened bar pad area. Its useable with up to a 36" bar according to Stihl.

Minimal at best from what I can tell. But how much heavier does that make it ?
I'm thirty years old now... one hand carrying the saw, the other is making sure my nuts aren't sagging out of my shorts. You on a "1 saw plan" now Mahk?
I can try drawing a picture?Yikes...
Thats alotta information right there...
Keeps the VID away...No thank you sir. I mind bleached my brain last week. Not sure I can do it again in such a short time...
Double or triple layer (I like triple) of those disposable blue gloves (Harbor Freight specials) can help a bunch on the slivers problem.
Just keep a box of them close by and some Dollar Store baby powder to help get a new one on when the outer one rips.
Maybe add a pair of those white knit gloves over things if you're really wrestling with the sharp stuff.
Like filing a chain.
