Is my wood worth it?

This is mostly unseasoned hardwood. The box is four foot wide, just shy of eight foot from the gate to the welder so it’s pretty close to a regular 8’ bed. $35, I load it myself. Around 165 pieces, I count like Rainman whenever I load stuff. It makes it feel like it’s going faster. I can pull in, load and pay in 12 minutes on company time in a company truck. I’m going to split it and throw it in an ibc cage so the random lengths won’t matter.

Looks good to me. Why is it so uniform rectangles for the most part? Is that from some sort of processor?

It’s a pallet plant. All I saw were normal pallets so I’m not sure what this is from.

Definitely seems worth it. Should dry fast without bark.

Do you also get paid the .2hr shop hour rate for unloading it as well and is the company cool with it?

2X12=24 minutes =.4hr X $150=$60 +$35= $95 for appx 1face cord, based on a shop hour rate of $150 per hr.

I’d say great deal, like a $1.25-1.50 a ft/cu. that’s the same as what I buy logs for. Plus getting paid to load it!

I tried to get my wife to unload it but she said it was too windy. The company doesn’t care what we do as long as our jobs get done and no one complains about us.

I didn’t get pictures of the second load but I cleaned the truck out to fit more and they don’t want more for it. The wife is gonna be busy. 17 degrees Sunday morning so it’s all getting split and moved in one day. There’s probably six loads to do.

There are so many mills around that I think everyone knows someone already. It’s a shame to burn some of it.

She was out splitting this past weekend. The pile is getting smaller.
