I labeled it correct, next time I'll just ship two parcels and neutrale parcels also.
They probleby didnt like the parcel and one complete saw inside, it would probleby be easier to ship 6.5kg coke to Donald Trump lol
Hello tor
It is a difficult situation sometimes but there are several ways too get around this situation I have always found if you wrap it black shrink wrap or if your a farmer I use the end of a silage wrap roll and cut it in half for ease of handling but you'll need a DOLMAR for this job
Or have a plain strong box with brown parcel tape
Also use a shipping company broker that has offices in both countries I use one broker company for USA sales which has offices in the U.K.
and another broker for Australia which again has offices in the. U.K. You can find this information at the bottom of there webpage
For instance I use parcel monkey UK as they also have parcel monkey USA
And there commercial invoice , customs documents are spot on
Put one copy in the box
One copy stuck on the front
One copy in a documents enclosed envelope
and as other members have said break the saw down and list the different parts on the commercial invoice individually as garden tool parts
And sometimes this sending as a gift is a red flag and also declaring the value too low is a problem when the shipping cost is three or four times higher than the declared value of the item being sent
But a belt and braces approach that works very well too keep costs of shipped items down and your safeguarded by an extra invoice and proof of a low cost sale and that what your sending is worth what it says on the tin is as follows
If your in good contact with the person that's purchasing said chainsaw if you photograph the saw in bits and put a buy it now auction on eBay for a low amount and get purchaser to do this buy it now ASAP and pay for it quickly
And put this Ebay invoice in the box you won't get any hassle it's another item of proof that it's been sold the right way and your parcel won't be held up
