Where did the intake get anything to eat?
I did a 372 out of a box of parts that had suffered a big end rod bearing failure. After it grenaded.....yeah......it grenaged. I found a piece of a needle bearing lodged in the case. On this saw though, there were no loose needle bearings. All I could figure was that a piece of a needle bearing from the first crank failure had somehow been stuck inside the pleats of the air filter. Remember.....it was all just dumped into a box together when I got it. After a few weeks of run time it came loose and tore up hell. I rebuilt it again.......and after about a month it hung a ring......
I bought it back from the guy I sold it to........rebuilt it again, and ran it for about two years. I called it "old reliable". lol
