The hole in the disc ...To big or to small ?The one in the middle is like my new one from Husqvarna. I thought that disk would go on that little Stihl driver too, not so.
If i have agro i may do a fix.. Was thinking ....open out the hole and put a rubber insert with a groove around the outside to take the disk thickness and with a hole in the middle that you need to push the screwdriver through so it grips it a bit.
Iv been looking to ..need to see the disk for size though. Having the ability to put all different carb screw drivers through the disc ....for example ..DD, splined as well as the slot head got me thinking for a ..OPE fix
What Im led to believe is it helps to get a more readable carb jet position for initial adjustment and being able to return to any given position with a good degree of accuracy.
The tools are made and designed by the saw manufacturers to do the job of taking off the clutch and they work very well. There are always other ways of doing things, if your happy with them and they give you no trouble then thats fine. I personally choose to do it using a makers tool .
