What do you people do with old car tires and the deceased? It is sad![]()
No, they are owned by the government, they can't give them away or sell them. They can auction them, but that is a nightmare in of itself unless you are dealing in large amounts. They won't let you bring them home?

Unfortunately they don't have any 272s or 2100s, its all 3 and 5 series saws I don't have...lolYou can't take a "whole saw" but parts are a different story.![]()
That looks fantastic! Excellent fields. Mag welding ain’t for the timid357XP crank case before and after. May not be prettiest weld but keeps oil in reservoir.
Here's my 300 BlackOut platform. Well, not this exact gun but very similar to this, no pics of that specific gun on my phone. That looks really good.
Here is a picture of what your username can do. This is my dad and the deer he shot yesterday with a CVA 300 blackout. View attachment 475616

what kind of prep do you do? cleaning agent, etc? With what my master welder neighbor has been able to do it has been a crap-shoot. Sometimes the metal is just too in impregnated with oil to get any kind of decent weld. Other times they come out like yours. It has been hit and miss over the last year. We try to clean any and all paint and oxidation away but... I use Acetone as a final rinse.Thank you, Sir.
Washed parts with hot water and dish soap to get rid of oil and grime, blasted with aluminum silicate, prepped crack with clean carbide burr, washed again with ultrasonic and finally with acetone before welding. After each welding pass brushed seams with new stainless brush. For welding I used new tungsten. Instructions per @Scarr52. Many thanks to him. This was my first attempt to weld magnesium.what kind of prep do you do? cleaning agent, etc? With what my master welder neighbor has been able to do it has been a crap-shoot.
