I don't buy or sell a lot of saws, but I've got a lot of tanks, through a 272XP. If the saw is completely rebuilt, with the right parts, by a competent person, it is worth $500. This is twice the saw, than anything you can buy new, for $500.

As far as $300 max, contact me.

Didn't want to start a thread for a simple question so I'd going here.

When do they typically wake up? Like, how many tanks of fuel ( I've got about 4)? I just picked one up & I'm still waiting for that 90cc wow factor especially since it's only got a 84dl on it right now.. I'm grinding my teeth here about to say this, but as of right now, I swear my 500i feels like it cuts faster & it's wearing a 91dl with 10 less CC's. Am i losing my mind?

It's definitely a harder pull, recoil wise & I can feel a tiny if bit of extra low end grunt, but overall I'm not really noticing the typical difference associated with a 10cc jump. Am i just being impatient?

Edit: Ran it some more today, got about 6 tanks through it at this point & it's starting to feel a little more in closer to what i expected. Still no wow factor though, I think I'll most likely have to send it out to check that box.

I bought a 500i and the 592 fairly close in time frame ,right after Helene at work.
The 592xp should feel significantly stronger than the 500i . They are both Awesome saws but I've personally run a full skip 56" bar on one in a 7' DBH oak with 0 problems.
I'm thinking something is wrong with it and it needs to go back to the dealer.

I seem to recall hearing it took 10-20 tanks before they "woke up", so he may just have a few more days of cutting to go. Or he didn't load it down enough and the rings didn't seat.

Possibly, I was running mine like a rented mule ! When I first got it.
But it was definitely stronger than my 500i right of the bat. The 500i got a muffler mod pretty directly.

That's what the fallers around here say. The 592 takes a lot longer to break in...

They do need a while to break in. Mine all took 12-15 tanks and that was logging walnut with em. 572's seem to take a while to. You can almost feel it adjusting when they open up.
