I'm assembling a 550xp mk1 from a recent build, and seem to be having some clutch trouble...

Doesn't seem to be free-spinning and I did grease the needle bearing. It looks like the drum is properly seated into the oiler worm gear, but once the clutch is locked down, there's no drum free-spin...

Revisiting the parts diagram, I don't see any sort of missing washer, but maybe y'all can give me some tips?

The "star" on the clutch drum has to fit in the oil pump worm gear corresponding receptacle. If askew it will do what you're experiencing.

Yeah I dropped the drum into each 'star' indentation, and it never sunk quite low enough to clear the clutch

I'm not even sure if it was properly operating when I got the saw, as it was a 'parts' deal.

Feels wrong...but if I just ground down the drum tabs that drop into the worm gear a millimeter, it would clear the clutch
