I think Lehman had it closest, a 61 like the one below, just the auction one does not have the chain brake.

I had one with a white top 61 practica, problem is they had a 2 pc ignition and if it’s bad can only buy Chinese replacement that I’ve had poor luck with so far. Used 2 and had both die at around a year to year and a half.

anybody able to tell what model this is? its up for auction at the local auction house, so far its only bid up to $39, auction ends thursday night.
Its a 162SE or very early 61 I believed. Not even a metal tank 266 cuz the top cover of 266 looks different. I have exactly the same style of saw in a box. Silver name tag, metal tank, the same shape of top cover. It's a 162se.
But everyone is not wrong, they are in the same family.

I was wrong, I guess 272, but after looking at mine I could see the difference! :D

I may need a piston for a 281, customer doesn't want to spend a lot of money, suggestions? Makes 130PSI but the exhaust side is pretty rough.

This is the dirtiest saw I've dealt with in a while, and I've seen some dirty saws...

Doesn't get any more reasonable than that.

I had one recently I was working on that was a mess, I was just going to do carb work and give it back dirty...nope, found it had a wobbly bearings so had to clean it up to keep all the crap out of the insides.

I am still waiting for them to get their 2100 and 261 (coated) pistons back in stock :(
I got their 390 hard chrome kit and it worked great. Only minor cleanup to the cyl and piston was required.

I think my cylinder is fine, just needed a piston, got one elsewhere, but it's not a Duke's.
I just needed a cyl…crushed saw… but the only thing available was an oe kit for over $300 and the owner didn’t want to pay that much. $65 from Dukes…done. And, not the usual cheap chicom stuff.

Hyway or Meteor is my recommendation. 130 is kinda low, my brother's 281 from that era made 180psi with a lightly scored piston.
