Oh ok, I thought you were buying it from him.
That was his initial thought, lol
I then asked if he’d rather have it fixed :p. I do this for fun…retired…so charge mostly just for parts and expenses to guys I know.
He ran a 32 on the thing 😳 so I’ll assume bearings/seals are definitely needed after a year in the woods.

Wow, yeah that is a safe bet! I was working on a 562xp. The first saw to beat me. Purge bulb would not cycle fuel when hooked up to the carb, but would when connected directly to the fuel line. I replaced the diaphragms in the carb, even used clear nail polish around the seams to block any potential air leaks and nothing, carb still makes a high pitch whistle when using the purge bulb. It was frustrating.

Yeah, there are a couple of others here at work that just hang on the wall. The guys say they get it running and works great, but if they shut it off, it vapor locks. They have other saws they use because they have to pack them in and need something more reliable. I have seen some videos of people fitting the saws with insulation/reflective tape and making a few choice holes in the shell to help vent the heat and prevent vapor lock. I have the go-ahead to get one of their saw set up that way.

But this carb on the saw I worked on is a pain, they don't want to spend the $140 on a new one so this one will probably become a hanger queen to pull parts from.

Hi guys I just bought a 372 parts saw and I have a quick question. The saw looks great, reel nice in fact, but I'm not sure if the case is oem or not. There is no model tag on it, and I don't see a part# or "made in sweden" anywere on it. Were these cases ever un-marked? The seller I bought it off of listed it as a all oem parts saw, so if it isn't I'm going to ask for my money back.

Oem should be marked. However, I don’t remember where they are located on those case halves and my 372 isn’t here to check.
Usually the numbers are on the lower inside. You may need to clean things up to see them. Flip the saw over and check.

Does the inside of the clutch cover list Husqvarna, made in Sweden or a part number? That might be an indicator of at least that part. Here are a couple of videos that may help you spot any issues:
