I've been "working" on a nice L77 with bow. Its mostly cleaning but was well cared for most of its life or used lightly.
The anchor screw for the needle pivot bar had come loose in the carb, so it was hopelessly flooded when I bought it, I regasketed it and fixed the needle. It also has a working chain brake. 20201122_084411.jpg 20201122_101057.jpg 20201124_202731.jpg 20201124_202745.jpg 20201124_202804.jpg

It is in very good shape on the inside . After straightening out the carb issues I had a difficult time drop starting it to start due to compression without the bar for weight.
I currently have 2 others ,1 i picked out of a dumpster and 1 I got in trade. Dumpster 77 runs/cuts pretty good but had the kill wire torn out of the ignition. Still sorting out the trade 77 that started life as a 65.
This one may not stay with me when I'm done with it,but end up in the trading post. I really haven't decided what to do yet I've contacted Sugar Creek about "vinyl decals" for it ,not water slide .

Should that bow look familiar?
No it's not the one that came from the xl-15 , but I did use the top hand guard off it . It is close in color and was in better shape, I just know that the Husqvarna one oils correctly, so I put alot of elbow grease in it.

Its a little scary with all the hype about their kick back , but I just watched people who know what they are doing.

Hey all got a NIB OEM cyl kit for my 357xp. I noticed 2 small dings in the plating close to the bottom of the cyl. I can juuuust catch a fingernail on it. I really don’t want to mess with the gorgeous factory crosshatching on a brand new cyl to try to get the dings out. Any thoughts?

The only thing you may want to consider are any raised areas at the flaking. Otherwise, I'd pretend it isn't even there.

Pics? If it’s well below ringland, I’d not be too concerned (if no raised area).

I believe the springs will still keep the screws from going out of adjustment even with the limiter caps removed. If not, use Tygon to make up the space. The caps should come off the needles with a little encouragement once the cover is removed. I believe the L screw may just thread out through that cover as it is while the H cap will obviously need the tabs on the cap trimmed to remove the cover.

I had a 445 that was starving out for fuel. Tracked the problem down to the fuel tank vent being plugged.

No amount of carb cleaner under 10 psi from shop air would clear it. [emoji90]

There it is up by the fuel line ports.

A length of tygon with carb cleaner.

No joy so we re engineered it.

Drilled a hole for a duckbill at the handle mount.

A smear of 3M weatherstrip glue to seal and hold it in place. Stuffed cotton in the cavity behind side of the handle for a makeshift air filter.

We ran it steady cutting for 3/4 tank without it starving for fuel or leaking. [emoji108]

Fixed!!

350 I got had a tank vent problem. Whoever had it thought it would fix it if They just melted the end of the line shut.:)
I just snipped it off and threaded a grub screw in the line. Might drip a little, but runs fine.
