:cunaooooo:
Maybe to slow the husky down so the Stihl can keep up or maybe the Stihl will cut faster:cbiggrin:

I’ve been team Stihl since I was introduced to saws.
Its like your calling my kid ugly or something. :cunaooooo: I’ve only owned stihl.
Can’t wait to get my orange headed stepchild 346xp going so I can see the difference for myself.
Which one deserves the claim to orange? Loser should be dipped in hultz blue.......oh wait....

A bit of Euro sarcasm would be my guess.

I rescued a chain yesterday that looked like that one. The guy tried filing it and realized he needed just a little more practice. Did part of one side on a loop of 33RS 114 before coming to his senses. Unfortunately, his angles were so severe on those cutters that a ton of material needed to be removed across the whole chain to regain anything close to uniformity again..., which also obviously necessitated some fairly severe raker adjustment. Took me almost an hour to get it back to usable.

My husqvarna 66 is about to give me a tuning fit! Carb is rebuilt, new seals installed, and new fuel line and filter.
Does the tank vent give these saws trouble? I don't really know where it is but there appears to be a rubber slotted something by the handle av on the clutch side.
Any experience or suggestions appreciated.

I modify them and install a tubing vent and use a Sthil vent on the tubing and let it rest above the air cleaner..

Works much better IMO

I wrote all this down a few days ago but must have forgotten to hit the post button. The throttle cable replacement went almost like Rich's video...except that the OEM Husqvarna throttle cable sleeve would not fit in the trigger assembly so we had to complete some additional disassembly to take the trigger out and spread the opening enough to fit the OEM cable. All better now.

Photos of the fuel, vent, and impulse lines. As you can see, I used this saw a good bit last week working on a large elm log.

I will plan on replacing the fuel, vent, and impulse lines next time I use the saw extensively.

Seems It's like I thought huztl sells those saws built by another company.
Huztl fuel tanks have the puck the other company has the barb
Like yours.
I built a few saws using huztl parts
The parts fron the other company are nicer fit and finish.20200616_202931.jpg20200617_181352.jpg
I have the hi tops like yours too
This one has over 10 gallons through it
It's my truck saw.
Fuel, pulse line's were trash that's the only thing I did was replace with echo
And a new style husky pull handle.

Anybody have both the Pro Safety 372 dawgs and the OEM West Coast dawgs that wouldn't mind posting a comparison picture? Pretty please?

Anyone successfully transplanted a starter side sticker?

The broken plastic grill is starting to bug me, not that the saw is together.

Question regarding the husky air conductor, do the screws ever back out?

I’ve never had a problem, with just loctite plus nice and tight, I just don’t always trust fasteners that clamp onto plastic that can relax over time.

Anyone ever do anything special here?

I’ve never tried transplanting a sticker. I did however get a nice replacement sticker from sugar creek supply, just like yours.

Very nice, I should really stop being a tight ass and grab one of those, just already blown the budget on this one.

Finally got around to running this 288xp today, all i was really needing was a new clutch.
Very nice to run, revs noticeably different to my 281 with more power.
They few extra ccs seem to really make a difference.2020-07-05 16.43.03.jpg 2020-07-05 16.43.54.jpg 2020-07-05 16.44.58.jpg

Question to the Husky maniacs'? Thinking of a 550xp and this question has to due about the extended warranty. Does the 550xp qualify? Husky site says yes, but I've also been told no as it is a pro saw. I am only using if for firewood so I would think it would qualify. Not the end of the world, just hate to pass up on it for such as a low cost. I may also check with a local dealer and update everyone later today.

Thanks again,

Stephanie
