cool, thanks. What I was wondering, was if he had it stock or slapped a 45mm in.
Sorry for late reply. Yes has original cylinder. I ported it last year. Saw has cut alot of firewood and fallen more trees than I could count. Do yourself a favor get a 455/460 clutch cover has a better chain adjustment.

Did the big muffler ports improve power much? I have a stock 395, my only saw these days.
The muffler helps but...
If you really want to improve on it send it to one of the Porter's here. Sending it out would leave you hanging you'll need a backup.

Nice! A Special. I use a 24 on the one I have. Handles good and oils it just fine.
Finished.

Really a good saw.

Have it for sale

Muffler mods can certainly help some saws. I'd also get rid of that hp ultra oil. I used to use it until I saw how dirty it was, stinks too.

I wrote all this down a few days ago but must have forgotten to hit the post button. The throttle cable replacement went almost like Rich's video...except that the OEM Husqvarna throttle cable sleeve would not fit in the trigger assembly so we had to complete some additional disassembly to take the trigger out and spread the opening enough to fit the OEM cable. All better now.

Photos of the fuel, vent, and impulse lines. As you can see, I used this saw a good bit last week working on a large elm log.

I will plan on replacing the fuel, vent, and impulse lines next time I use the saw extensively.

The chain has been modified

I’m really interested in what the mods are... please expound on what is going on here..
I’ve sharpened chains with wrong angles when I was getting the hang of freehand
(best way IMO btw).....

In my limited XP, I’ve come around to agree with the set degrees that the manufactures have engineered.
I’d love to see and watch what your Idea/modification/result is
