The husky 435/440 is a far better and more powerful saw than the orange pull ons. Actually a real husky as well.
Second that....
Had a couple... Run well for what they are...

The one bar nut thing kinda weirds me out for some reason though....

Did a lot clearing job once and used a 435 with 16" bar to do it all... About 60 trees 20"ish or less not counting saplings 4" or smaller, used a 550 for the last three that were a bit bigger...
That little 435 runs quite a while on a tank of fuel BTW...

20180715_124812.jpg 20180715_125541.jpg 20180715_124929.jpg Latest on my 281 project, got the cylinder off, both cylinder and piston look good, washed out the crankcase with extra oiled mix, crank bearings feel great now with lube in them.
Just waiting now for a Caber and a few other parts, still need to find a clutch cover.

Got a fella that I met that says he has a Husky that falls between the 2100 and the 2101 I can't remember the number but I think is was a 4 something. Is there a saw that followed the 2100 series and was before the 2101? Also says that he has a 272 in the box new, wonder what that would be worth?

I know all of the common saws, this was a number that I never heard of. His dad was a Husky dealer for years so he knows his saws, guess I'll have to stop by and ask him when I pick up the 272 that I am buying from him.

Not my thing but.....Starting with 4..... 480 CD is the only one that comes to mind ....there was a 1100 cd as well as 2100 /2101.

I'll bet it was a 480cd, that's only 77cc not 100. I will ask him again next time I get over there. I did get two new 257 air filters off him for $7.00 each, nice wire mesh style.

Hope someone has the answer. A guy about 30 miles from me has a Husky listed with a 28” bar. He has it listed as a 54L1. Can’t see a model # in pics. Asked him and he didn’t know the cc. Anybody know what it might be, what cc, price? Thanks.

Nice full wrap and metal chain break handle. Grab it if you can. The number he has it listed as is on a sticker on the top cover lol. Ask him what the metal tag says.

I wouldn't ask him *s-word! And show him 2 Benjamin and walk away slowly then mash the gas home.

Thanks guys. He says he’s already been offered $450! If it’s a 266/268, to me I’ll just stick with my 6401’s.

That's what I was thinking, but not sure. You got a better eye for them lol.

Hardly! Wishful thinking since I’m biased for sure...could be a 266 but I so want it to be 80+cc. Either way the wrap and metal flag make it interesting

2101xp got a full rebuild. This saw is a 300yr anniversary saw. I should have taken a before pic. Had a homemade top handle. Lol
