My first Husky after running stihls for over 40 years, One year old this month and after physically being able to run about three tanks throiugh it last winter helping my buddy cut some fire wood I am really liking it. Got a 24" and a 18" bar for it. Decided to put the 18" on it for safety reasons. My arthritis don't cater to me running a saw in the past few years. ( I fall down a lot )
Iv had this 357 xp for a month or two now . Due to being sold what was a pile of "Chit" with a new and awful AM top end with bad install and carb work ...(yea we all get caught out now and again i suppose) I now have something that runs like a 357 should !
OEM new or second hand wasnt in the mix...thankfully it had the 15mm crank even being a early one so I could get a Full "Meteor" kit.
Very well made with 170-175 psi in standard form with a new base gasket out of the box . Transformation is not a over exaggeration ! It now pops..runs..and whistles at the 14000 top rpm like a 357 always should . Its in working cloths and has just been treated to a new decal . Cost me more than it should due to all the work but at least it runs strong and could go down the road in the state its in now.
I've run most of huskys older 50 and 60cc saws i rebuilt a very nice 257 and gave it to my nephew ran great just didn't need it. i can get a clean 262 for 150.00 is the performance that much better than a 257. Thanks dave
