hi all,
I was offered a husqvarna 2100 cd and was wondering what rpm's yall see on the 2100 when the governor is disabled? This one has the dual exhaust ports that look like mouse ears.
Don't exceed the specs by much on a stock saw...bad things will happen. Run 40:1 at a minimum, 32, probably better.

Pics?

I recently plugged the governor on my 285 CD(small bore 2100). Can't say I put a tach on it but it's nowhere near what my 288 is spinning(13,000)....maybe 10,000 or so if I had to guess.

Long story (on AS) short, I am in need of a coil for a 455 Rancher. PN in the IPL's is 544 04 7001, PN on the coil in the saws (two 455 Ranchers in the shop currently) is 544 04 70-03.

I am looking for options for a replacement coil, recommendations???

Thanks,

Mark

Just FYI, I received the ignition coil from The Duke and the 455 is once again a runner. I don't know how the electronic ignition module could lose its timing, but while there was a good, strong spark the timing was obviously off. Flywheel key was fine...

How much would you pay for a nice looking 154SE or SG…the saw has working heated handles? I have zero experience with a 154 or 254xp, so I’m not sure what my closest point of comparison would be. Are these essentially the same size as the 257, 261’s, and 262xp?

The 154 was the start of that series and they're good saws. The earliest ones had full-circle single-ring pistons. The anti-vibe is a little stiff but good. They became the 254XP with improvements over time. The series has never been good for resale values, a good used 154/254 these days brings about $225-250. A mint condition survivor might see $300-ish. It would be the SG if it has heated handles and carburetor. I think they also made a version that's compatible with the Nordfeller system.
