The tether came out with the cap and I put it back in. I tightened it down and threads seem to be holding for now. I may order a new cap if it leaks or does it again.

This saw isn't and probably never will be a show piece... just want to make it less ugly and protect what's left of it. Will grab some hemi orange next time I'm at the store
The good thing about engine paint is that it's gas/oil resistant.

Any ideas what i could do with this plating chip. Its a xpw cylinder. It had some transfer on the lower exhaust that cleaned right off.
Grind with diamond stone slightly above chipped part, cut with carbide tip and round towards transfers. I did that with my Meteor cylinder, no chipping so far -> I pulled cylinder after some milling work to see the results.

Does anyone have a 395 or 394 piston laying around they could grab a dimension off of?

I'm looking for a dimension from the top of the wrist pin, to the top of the piston.

I have a 257 in the shop that needs the plastic "cradle" that is part of the throttle rod 501876803.

Any suggestions on where to find one, or a good work-around?
