Did the Jred 2186 come with the same Tillotson carb that was used on the 385xp?

Early on they did (Tilly HS-296). I think later ones came with the Walbro WJ-116 and the latest ones had the WJ-118. The 385 had the Tillotson HS-296 for a long time.

Major score here today! NIB / NOS cranks for 162/ 266 and 160/ 163 (and many other that era saws). All I’m missing is rest of the parts, lol.

But will it fit??

Yessir - Your crank is the same (Well, not the same part number - but the same dimensions and function).

The only issue you might run into is if you move everything into a set of 372 OE cases and then try to put an XT top end on those case halves.

Having trouble with the starter on my 445. Basically either the string won't retract, or the starter won't engage with the engine (sorry I don't know the names of all the parts).

Sometimes, if I get everything tightened just right, it works. For a few starts, then it goes back to its usual tricks.

I've seen the string catch like in this video @1:06.

@1:36 he shows where his part is warped and ovalled, but mine looks o.k.

The other side looks good too.

The Husqvarana kit to replace this is nearly $50 on eBay, which is a heckuva lot considering the original parts didn't go 2 years without trouble.

How did the Euro affect the saw prizes in Croatia?
Nearly everything is more expensive 30% and up!

Good example is Husky chain, was 45ish EuroCents per cutter is now 60 EuroCents.
Brand name OPE was always more expensive than in Western Europe, so there is nothing new there.
