50,60,& 70cc. Does is make sense to own all 3 or would having the 550xp & 572 xp pretty much cover the tasks?

I own a 550 & 562, wanting a 572/24” setup for felling and bucking bigger logs, but can’t help but think if I get a 572 I might not hardly use the 562 much anymore. Might could sell the 562 and not miss it much with the other two.

I have a 350, 562, and BB 372, honestly the 372 is pretty capable for anything bigger than 20" and anything smaller is 350 or 192T work. The 562 is still a fan favorite with my family and I'm not going to sell it, but I could easily live with a 70-50cc combo. I'm not sure what sorta timber size you're in but an 18"/32" combo on a 445 and 372 tackled everything from twigs to 36"+

Out east you're hard pressed to run a 32' on a stock 572xp, (unless it's ported). Square skip might power through for the task at hand, or coniferous trees only.

I'm with at @Woodslasher, although my line up is not all huskies, I have a top handle with a 14in, a 50cc with an 18, a 60cc with a 24, and a 70cc with a 28 and a 32, or I can swap it for the 24 if I feel like it. If I HAD to give up one of my rear handles it would be the 60cc, however it holds a dear spot in heart so I could never let it go. Its the first saw I ever bought when I became a home owner. It's the one that got me hooked on saws. So now I hold on to it and let friends and family use it, and run it occasionally when a 24" is just right for the job.

Beside my milling saw I could live with only my ported 357, it can wear a 18" or 24" and if I had to I could buck something huge with the milling saw.
A 60cc is a very nice firewood saw imo.

I just picked up a husky 50 today. It works great. When I have my left hand on top of the saw it hits the top cover. The distance from the bottom of the handle to top of the engine cover is 7/8 of a inch. Is this correct ? Handle does not look bent. I think maybe someone put the wrong handle on it. Thank you as always for any info.

Speakin' o' Husky 50s, anyone have a badge for the starter cover? I think just about every one ever made is probably laying out in a woods somewhere. I'm surprised someone isn't selling vinyl re-pops.

Yea for over forty years old , still has some good grunt .
I've never ran one (or even seen one) but my buddy has an L65 and it doesn't lack for power at all. Some day I will have to compare my 266XP to his L65 and see which is faster. I wouldn't be surprised if the 266 gets edged out.

Does anyone know if there's a AM kit for the 242XP? Cant find any from hyway or such.
There is a seller out of Italy on eBay selling cylinder kits for the 242 but they are pricey and I don't know if the quality is there. Tecomec used to make a nice quality cylinder kit for the 242 (I have one) and if you can find one of those grab it. You can always post an ad in the classifieds here and see what is available.

Not based in the states shipping would ruin the deal.

Heres a 66 I put a new piston kit in for a coworker.
He was able to locate not one, but two NOS Husky piston kits at his local shop.
He was also kind enough to gift me the one he didnt need.:)
Thing has enough compression that its hard to drop start.:):)
Got it tuned rich for the break in.

Maybe a stupid question. Does a 55 muffler fit on a 242? They look kinda similar.

Is there a filter or one way valve on the 395 oil tank vent? It looks like it could just be an open hole to me.
