Looks real similar to 254/257 block?

Looking at the IPL's of the Frontier saws and the 38 you have, the cylinder, single counter weight crankshaft and slip on rod, it really looks like a reclad Frontier engine.

Frontier / husky 35,s were made in Trail BC Canada under husky
licence

What is with the blue on the cover?

here’s a 026 kit same idea, husky would just come with the recoil covers while the earlier stihl came with a new air filter cover with an extra shield riveted on and the recoil cover.

Duct tape works on the bottom half of the recoil if you find yourself in the deep snow and cold

Anybody ever pulled the entire manual oiler out of a 2100??
I havent looked into it in depth, I just see the outer tube in the IPL.
The saw I have had ingested some moisture in the manual oiler, so the tube has corrosion.
Pogointhewoods how about a pic of the oiler from that IPL you have??
