My son is now set on the 8010T.
Going to go to a local shop tomorrow and look.
Hope to have an answer by 11 am. Will that work?

Here are a couple of action shots of the 8010T.
Verbatim..."Better than I'd hoped!" That's good stuff right there.
Tube is a little short because it was missing a straight pipe when sent to us.
Bruce is helping us get it sorted out and we decided he could run it a little before the missing piece gets here.

Is it too late to get in on the 1-day sale? Been going back and forth on the 550MK2 but not sure if it is that much lighter than my 562xp and worth the cost. What do you all think? Also have an 026-16" but planning on selling as I'm just under impressed with it.

Thanks.

Stephie

Edit to add I think I would want 3/8" .050 as it would fit more with my other saws, all .050.

It depends on how important weight is to you, but the 550mk2 is definitely a strong saw stock, plenty of power to swap a 3/8-7 rim on it and run 20", mod the muffler, and I'd use it over a stock Stihl 362 any day.

Empty you probably won’t tell much difference. By the time you fuel up the saw and mount bars (ready to cut) the 550 will be noticeably lighter, it uses a lighter small mount bar and holds less gas/oil.

I have a 24" Tsumura on my 562xp and a Husky 20" on my 365sp. Maybe I should think about a 20" so I could use the chains that I already have? Hmmmm. A strong saw is more important than weight, and I think that is part of the reason I have not fallen in love with the 026.
I really do like the feel of the 562xp.

0A6D1F5A-259E-4902-8233-F02AAA74824F.png My trusty but old fs85 died over the weekend. Probably 50/50 string trimming and hard brush sawing/mulching (pictured), 99% non-commercial use.

Is the 336fr ample? Echo has great reviews on a few models, my saw shop guy recommended the fs 91 (~$350) which is lighter but not a “brush cutter.” What kind of harness does the Husky come with?
Thanks for insight/opinions too.
