I should maybe take a look at my notes further and see if anything stands out in this regard and report back.
After going through my notes on all the 562's I've been through it would seem that the cylinder on the new saw is within manufacturing tolerances and not anything strikingly new perse. Just a bit of a different look from the last one, that seemed to stick out to me, more than it probably should have.

That's exactly what I'll be looking for later when I get over there.

The email also mentioned better power to weight ratio, but I don't know if it's more power or less weight.
I'm not sure what we're calling the one's now with the dished piston, whatever it is, I'm digging it and am planning on one for myself. Could be the ultimate old man saw ever devised.

No IPL's listed yet. The one significant item is that the saws in my cart switched from "no longer available" to "Not available for shipment before 11-23-2023". Someone goofed by listing them as NLA. That should not have happened. Still got a bit of a wait though.

A Husqvarna dealer here in Norway had said October 2023, it was 560.
Then November 2023 is probably right for 562 across the pond.
I myself will have a 562 XPG mark II with Heathed Wrap, and a 540 XP Mark III.
My first new saws since 2012.

Report back how you like new 540 mk3....
I don't plan to invest until closer to Christmas time, but a friend of mine works as a power line cleaner, and in that group there are some who have 540 xp 3 with rear handle. I can say that the chainsaws in that group are brutally treated, whatever breaks on them I will be told.
What I've been told is that the 325 1.1mm setup is a bad choice, it tends to jump off easily.

My farm is mountainous, first thought of buying a brush cutter, but since I can mostly thin out from underneath, I feel the 540 xp 3 is a better choice for my lower back.

My 562xp that I bought a month or two ago has dished piston (and not a mark II to my knowledge). It’s mmws now. I’ll probably put a flat top in it and see how it compares later.

What bar mount does it use?

The same as 550xp/450...…? If so...you can easily swap it to 1.3mm...or even 1.5mm...

I don't know if it uses the K095 or one of the 041 mounts.
The day I will have one, I will have 3/8LP 1.3mm, there are many excellent chains for it, from Husky and also Stihl.

Holy cow, 1500 Euro for a 60cc saw? I guess that"s one more reason to appreciate being American!

Is a 560 just a small mount 562?

It is, but something's bothering me about the last advertising from Husqvarna's website.

They are advertising about the possibility to choose between. 325 and 3/8 on the 560 mk2. But the original 560 need a 9 teeth rim for .325, and it never liked it.

If the new 560 can run a 7 or 8 teeth rim, it'll be a game changer.
