After going through my notes on all the 562's I've been through it would seem that the cylinder on the new saw is within manufacturing tolerances and not anything strikingly new perse. Just a bit of a different look from the last one, that seemed to stick out to me, more than it probably should have.I should maybe take a look at my notes further and see if anything stands out in this regard and report back.
I'm not sure what we're calling the one's now with the dished piston, whatever it is, I'm digging it and am planning on one for myself. Could be the ultimate old man saw ever devised.That's exactly what I'll be looking for later when I get over there.
The email also mentioned better power to weight ratio, but I don't know if it's more power or less weight.
