Sounds like you got it pretty close. Follow Spike60's advice, he knows these saws better than almost anyone.

Thanks for fixing the recoil handle, my OCD was starting to twitch ;)

Lots of good stuff there on Walt's channel for sure! I really enjoyed the series on the 365/372/372XT and the Johnny-Red counterparts. Lots of valuable info there.

Sounds good enough that you don't need to replace the coil. But your saw is about 5 weeks before they made that switch. And supposedly the newer carb can only be combined with a digital ignition system.

I'd say it's running good enough as is; and the coil option would be out there if you need it in the future.

The part number for the newest coil is 588 937 403. This one actually comes with the boot already installed, so that extra step is eliminated.

My XT is a 13' model and I'm still running the unlimited coil I got from you at walts. Do you think the limited digital advance coil will run better than the black coil? I'm also running a 75cc top end on mine now though:D

No, leave the unlimited coil in there. Especially with the XPW top end.

Keep in mind that coils for the XT are rev limited to 13,300. And I bet you're tuned a little past that, huh? ;)

The limit is why I swapped the coil out. After porting my XT top end it really wanted to spin. And yeah I'm tuned a little beyond the limiter on the ported XPW set up:)

Remember it was a step or two before I stopped grinding on my XPW when it was slamming into the rev limiter making the tach go all wonky?? Limiter makes it a PITA to tune a ported saw.
