Are we done now? My trigger finger is getting itchy.

It's a better choice for YOU, based on the parameters that YOU find important. To suggest that's it's a better choice for the entire planet betrays the childish ignorance that most brand drum beaters are infected with. It's a waste of time to preach brand X in a brand Y thread. All it does is annoy people.

There's a lot more to weight that determines how a saw feels. Handle angles, distance between the handles, where the front hand is relative to the saw's center of gravity. There's so much more than what can be gleaned from a spec sheet.

Take Dustin's advice and start an MS400 thread. I won't be there to annoy people because I have no interest in it. Won't affect me whether it's a great saw or a flop. Have fun; we're gonna miss your thoughtful input.
Well put but I doubt they’ll do any of it. These individuals have been doing the same thing since OPE started and just don’t get what you’re saying

@CapitaineHaddoc north of 2k hours, those are some great numbers!

Speaking of ring replacement, did you find any other "major" wear on the cylinder or piston?

Were the rod bearings and main bearings holding up without any major play?

I am assuming all else was fine otherwise it would have been replaced.

No, not at all. But I'm running 40:1 in all my saws, this probably help.

@CapitaineHaddoc thank you for the nice work pics, those nice growth trees do give that saw a run for its money!

I will agree with you on the 40:1, all my stock 2 stroke equipment is running it.

Quite a few that rebuild engines here have mentioned more oil retention on the mains and less wear at your chosen ratio, but I know that is a subject for that other thread.

We all need breaks and we all eat lunch, in your typical 5h clean cutting time, does the saw have significant breaks between re-starts to where the engine cools off considerably? Just trying to understand the heat cycles that your saw sees in a typical cutting day.
