To me the ms 400 having more power than the 562 shouldn't be a surprise, its a bigger saw! So here we are comparing apples to grapefruit.
To me its a no brainer to take the lighter 400 over the 562, it has more power
and will save you time, and be less sore on the body.

You should fight with him about it, it'll be fun.
I fixed the post to reflect the MS400 is actually lighter than the Husqvarna 562,
which only reinforces my point, that the MS 400 is a better buy,
one would need to convince me the Husqvarna could take on the MS400 and win,
probably better to arrange that test for a cold day when the 562 might start.

Until then @pavel408 , you should also stop posting false information yourself,
Husqvarna 562 is actually 6.1kg, according to Husqvarna, not what you posted,

Have I won a round yet, anybody???

Depends on the year... It used to be 6,0 kg, but you are right that current weight is 6,1 kg.

Absolutely not apples to grapefruits, it has a larger engine Capacity sure, but if they can fit that in a similar size and weight package to the 562 then they are surely fair competitors.

If the new 90cc husky was magically between the weight of the 562 and ms400 I might consider it a fair comparison as well.

Sorry to continue derail.

New update in IPL on 565 from s/n 20203800378 and 572xp from s/n 20203801134

We have implemented a new Cylinder and Piston assy for improved durability.

Spike60 any more info ?

That's a new IPL update; can't even get it to open. Be interesting to see what they have changed, cause I've yet to see one fail. Can you see what the serial number start date is on this? I'll try and find out what's going on here.

SMH, the thread does say huskyboy meets the 572, NOT 562, saws are classified into classes. The 400 is a 70cc saw, compare it to the 462/572 not a saw that's 10cc smaller.
I understand that is one way of looking at it, but weight is a signivigent reason for not carrying
a bigger saw, with the MS400 you get to have as you say a 70cc class saw, that is less weight
than a 562, that will make a lot of people happy, will also get a lot more done in less time,
so in the end the extra money,
in my case the 562 is 899.00 locally, and the MS400 I can get for 960.00,
so only 61.00 euro difference in price.

Your still in a 572 thread? If weight is the only thing that matters and not cc class, grab a 261, the 562 direct competitor is the 362 Stihl, your comparison is not apples to apples.
