Nice, like to see it on a ported 550, bet it really make some gains on one

My question with the 550 is the stuffers. I bought the 545 because in theory, it should be able to push more mix thru the crankcase, especially ported. I don't know if it makes a difference in real life though. I guess I'll have to try it. The parts to convert it minus the carb cost me less than $50.

Makes sense, think I’ll round up stuff and see what happens on my 2253!

When I have time gonna try this on one of my ported 550s, with and without stuffers. Deleted stuffers might give more torque...
I have lots of extra 562 parts...
Would be sweet if it was like a 199 on a 346...

I'd like to see other peoples thoughts after running this as well. We've had nothing but rain the last two weeks so it's going to be awhile before I can get some moving pictures uploaded.

I'm trying to replicate the power delivery and feel of your 346XP in a 5 series saw. That thing was mean.
You might want to install the higher rev limit coil from a 550 on the 545.

Great thread! Would love to see a video vs the 550:D

So I went ahead and ordered some parts. My 550xp is getting the same setup except for the 550xp coil, AT module, and the stuffers. It's coming off my 2019 562 because that's getting a 572xp setup with a 565 air filter and a 550xp coil & AT module. Hope it fits because that 572 stuff is pricey!

Walked out to the backside of the farm and have a 21" diameter Red Oak that was a blow down last year that's about waist high so should be able to get some good videos.

The one thing that worries me is the difference in timing between flywheels but I'm making an educated WAG that all the timing is similar enough that it's not going to be a show stopper.
