E.olemite has a good vid one of many complaints on youtube against the new marlins they have really let the quality go sad really they pretty much was the go to deer rifle when i was young a few winchesters mostly marlin.

My buddy's carry guns he has great taste both accurate cz 75 compact 9mm it's a little heavy but very comfortable the ruger lw .45 compact very light me likey both.
