Ever had feeding issues with it? My old Savage had horrible feeding issues, often failing to strip fresh rounds out of the mag. I had two mags and both had the same problem... That and the lack of the accutrigger were why I sold it. The next one will be a wood-stocked accutrigger model.

100 seems steep. I can't remember the place but I bought a spring of the Web for a bunch of my 870s and sp10. Think he was like 6 bucks apiece. Dropped the pull weight in half. Pretty good for a shotgun. Rifle/AR...I would pay that, not for a shotgun
The Timney trigger fix is an adjustable sear with three springs. It is adjusted by a Allen screw, after the preset spring is installed. You could have a 2-5lb. trigger pull, scary light. Be sure your receiver retension springs are enact to contain your trigger group.
If your 870 is a designated slug gun or a gritty Express action, dive in.
*I have the kits, one installed on a Wingmaster and one on a <760 pump>, 35rem.
Who knew?

Sorry fell asleep 32.79 amazon i hope you consider one these things are freakin tough lol condor rodan View attachment 52700

Thanks, On order.
Just wanted it for ripping through deer breast plates easier. Figure it will come in handy in the woods with the saw too.

So how is it about holding a edge? Not that what I am doing with it a edge will hold long anyways.

The Savage 93R 17Hmr
will shoot like a house on fire!
Shooting the rimfire is great fun for the kids and wife, too.
Ok, maybe not the spouse...

What distance was that group shot at?
100 yards I believe. I was wondering also.

How much difference did it make? I'm used to running 100-200 rds per outing through my 870 Super Express when we shoot clays or trap (sometimes more) but 250-300 seems to be about my recoil limit. I'm asking for myself and my Dad who's recovering from shoulder surgery and loves shooting shotgun (and everything else) but is a bit more recoil conscious than He used to be.

Did you also get the forcing cone lengthened?

Yes on the forcing cone. That's the best mod to a shotgun, plus good chokes. I wouldn't port a trap/skeet gun, very little difference I saw with light loads. This one is a 3-1/2" 870, it will see plenty of 3 and 3.5 duck/turkey loads that's where porting the barrel will help. Your dad needs a gas semi-auto Beretta for his shoulder
