I would love to find a grinder for a reasonable price, was going to save up for a new 451C but I can not justify that price still.

Missed the boat on a couple used ones.. the right one will pop up eventually.

Either pro sharp or RS2. For 130 bucks though, If I can file better it may be worth a shot.

No jig, just free hand. Do you have a chain vise? It helps a lot!

You sir, are a witch doctor.
No I don't have a chain vice, it seems I need to make another equipment investment. But dang it, I haven't been able to put together enough scrounge for a CC hand piece and foredom yet. It never stops.

If you have the extra dough floating around the homelite 410 vise is the best.

In all honesty it's a big investment for something you may end up not doing often. You just need something that can lock the chain in place and keep it from moving. Some guys use vise grips or make vises out of pieces of angle iron. It doesn't have to be fancy.

Does it cut a little violent with those depth gauges ?

I Imagine it would be a bit hungry..

It was in I giant box of random chain, figured it looked like a good one to practice on.

Never held a square file, took a few cutters to get one that looked somewhat correct. lol
