I gotta rig up a light over the vice. Don't think holding a pen light in one hand and trying to file is the best way to learn..

Sure does, this .404 cuts faster than any round 3/8, and lasts longer than 3/8 rm too

I have a hard time getting forward lean with left hand cutters when I sharpen on the bar. If I get anymore than this my top plate angle is way thin

Left side cutters are the devil.

Use left hand for left cutters,took me a bit to get used to it but works good.

Looks like a chain made up from roll ends ,throw it on a grinder and make em all the same .

You can almost tell who did a chain by the way cutters are done after looking at enough images here ,seems like we all have out own little signature in the shape ,mine is a couple sharpens on untouched gullets ,lol

Looks like a chain made up from roll ends ,throw it on a grinder and make em all the same .

It was off a new reel. Cutters are sharpened then assembled at the factory. I'd say it was a Monday or Friday chain.
