I can use them. I need to call Frawleys and see if they'll sell me some with the next loops. It's cheaper from them than Madsens by the roll now.I can put a few presets in your box .......... its still anchored in NY
I was more concentrated on a forward lean on the side cutter. The top plate angle is a by product of the forward lean.
As you said it don't hold up too bad.
And cuts like a mofo too..... As long as you have some power behind it
Got to take it off the roll DaveTooff?

I keep trying to hand file this stuff but the cardboard parts get in the way
Well I file free hand and the way I hold the file the more forward lean I get the thinner the top plate is......just how it works for me.Sorry, but top plate angle is not a by product of forward lean.
I'm pickin up what yer layin downWell I file free hand and the way I hold the file the more forward lean I get the thinner the top plate is......just how it works for me.
Not sure how this couldn't be any different for someone else???
I wasn't talking about "rubbing" tie straps. I'm talking about "holyshit. I just filed half way through my tie strap". I got a little carried away doing right hand cutters right handed (blind side)The most durable angles are when you rub the tie strap and have 0-2° of forward lean.
Probably referring to actual top angle not underside of cutter. How is it not affected by the file rolling?
